history

In 1989 we took a risk and sold the home we were living in to build our very first home. When we started we were building on a small scale of about 2 homes per year. Some of the first homes that we built our small family moved into and then sold them. After about 3 years, two more children, and six moves later we decided that it was time to build a home for us to stay in for a while and we did. As the years progressed the number of homes per year increased until now where we currently average about 8 to 10 homes a year. During this time I have always been intimately involved during the construction of our homes.
philosophy
There is so much more to a home that what you see when you walk into the finished product. The visible items like carpet, cabinets, light fixtures, and trim may look nice but these are just a few of the things that scratch the surface of what goes into a home. These items include materials for framing, concrete work, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning, electrical, sheetrock, roofing, insulation, paint, and many more. I believe using quality materials really does make a difference.

Not only the quality of the items is important but who installs them. Reputable, licensed subcontractors are an important part of the construction process. We believe that good relationships with the subcontractors are just as important as the relationship with the home owner.
Our relationship with you as the home owner during and after the construction process is very important. We don't hand you off to a project manager after the sale but stick by your side all the way through and beyond. Prompt communication and a friendly atmosphere is part of the process and our desire is to make building your home an enjoyable one.
The completion of your home is not the end of our relationship. Being a long term resident of the Tri-Cities means we are always close by and easy to reach if you have any questions. Having a happy customer at the end of construction is not enough. Taking care of a customer afterwards builds a lasting relationship. After several years of living in your home and when your friends mention that they want to build a new home, we want you to be able to refer Lott's Better Built Homes with hesitation.
Service, quality, reputation, honesty, and integrity are all part of our philosophy. We hope we get the opportunity to prove to you that we are the best choice when it comes to buying or building your new home.
